IRE Graduation Dinner
Graduation is almost here for some students at IRE. Those two years at IRE have come and soon will be gone. Students are finishing up the remaining of any competencies as well as presenting their final oral. This semester the final oral has changed. Students have to come up with an idea to discuss in a TED talk. The talks are to last ten to fifteen minutes. Performing on the stage at the Mesabi Range Theater puts each individual in the spot light. There has been a wide range of topics discussed in the TED talks from fuel efficiency to safety.
Design projects are also wrapping up as final design review presentations are being done and teams are presenting their final design to their clients. With only a couple days of presentations to finish, summer vacation will be begin for returning students and full-time work will hopefully begin for the graduates. On Thursday, May 8 a graduation dinner is put together for the graduating seniors. This semester the graduation dinner is taking place on a local restaurant in Virginia, MN called Michael's on the Course. Seniors invite their families and friends to dinner, as well as other students and faculty are invited to celebrate their fellow students' graduation.
